Description and use of cookies

Cookies are text files containing information packets that are memorised on the computer or on the mobile device every time you are browsing a website with a browser. In each following visit, the browser sends these cookies to the site that originated them. Cookies allow websites to remember some information to enable the user to browse online in a simple and quick way.
There are two types of cookies: session cookies and permanent cookies. A temporary cookie remains memorised only during the ongoing session and is deleted from the computer when you close the session: this type of closure can be triggered by a specific command, by the closure of the browser or by the use of an URL which differs from the one of the site that originated the cookie.
A permanent cookie remains memorised as a file in the computer even after closing the browser and could be read by the site which created it after the user’s visit.
Cookies are used for different goals such as:
– Keep trace of the session to simplify the use of the site in the future and reveal if a subscription procedure has been activated.
– Conduct research and diagnostic activities.
